eSIM is installed, but why can't I find it?

If your eSIM is installed but you can't find it, it's usually due to confusing labels, multiple eSIMs, or accidental deletion. Follow these steps to locate it:

Common reasons

  • Confusing labels

If you used generic labels like "Personal," "Secondary," or "Travel," your new eSIM may be mixed in with others.

  • eSIM was accidentally deleted

If you previously removed the eSIM, the profile is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

Note: Once deleted, an eSIM cannot be reinstalled and must be repurchased.

How to find your eSIM using ICCID (most reliable method)

ICCID is a unique number for each eSIM. By comparing the ICCID from your provider with the one on your device, you can accurately identify your eSIM.

Step 1: Get the ICCID from your provider

Go to your order details

Find the eSIM

Copy the ICCID (18–22 digits)

Step 2: Check ICCID on your device (make sure all eSIMs are enabled)

iOS:

Settings → General → About → Scroll to "Cellular Number(s)" → View all ICCIDs

Samsung Galaxy:

Settings → About phone → Status information → SIM card status → Check each eSIM's ICCID

Google Pixel:

Settings → About phone → SIM status → Check each eSIM's ICCID

Step 3: Match the ICCID

Compare the ICCID from your provider with the ones on your device.

The matching one is your target eSIM.

You can then rename it for easier identification.

Tips to avoid losing your eSIM

  • Set a clear, unique label during installation

Use the destination or purpose, such as:

"France Travel eSIM""Europe 30 Countries eSIM""Japan 4G eSIM"

  • Do not delete eSIMs unless necessary

Once deleted, they cannot be recovered.
