What should I do if I see "This code is no longer valid"?
This error usually means the eSIM has already been installed or there was a network/device issue during installation. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Check if the eSIM was already installed (most common cause)
Most eSIMs can only be installed once. To check:
Open Settings——Go to General——Tap About
Scroll down to find ICCID (20-digit number)
Check result:
- If you see the same ICCID as your eSIM → it's already installed
- Enable it in Cellular settings
Important:
If you deleted the eSIM before, it cannot be reinstalled. You will need a new eSIM from your provider.
Step 2: If it's your first installation, check network/device issues
If it's your first time installing, the error is often caused by network or system problems:
Turn off VPN/proxy: VPNs can interfere with the eSIM activation server.
Use a stable WiFi: Avoid public WiFi or ship WiFi.
Remove unused eSIMs: Go to Settings → Cellular
Delete old eSIMs if you've reached the device limit.
Update iOS
Outdated systems may cause activation failures.
Try a different installation method
- QR code failed → use manual activation code
- Manual failed → use QR code
Additional tips
If the problem continues, contact your eSIM provider with:
- Order number
- Screenshot of the error
- Device model
We will check if the activation code is expired or already used.
