How do I check if my Android device supports eSIM?

Whether an Android device supports eSIM depends on hardware, manufacturer settings, and carrier restrictions. You can check with these steps:

Samsung Galaxy:

  • Open Settings → tap Connections
  • Go to SIM Card Manager
  • If you see “Add eSIM”, your device supports eSIM.

Samsung: Add eSIM option

Google Pixel:

  • Open Settings → tap Network & internet
  • Find the SIMs section and tap the + button
  • If you see “Add eSIM” or “Change to download SIM?”, your device supports eSIM.

Other Android models (Huawei / Xiaomi / OPPO, etc.):

  • Open your phone’s dialer, Enter *#06# and press call
  • In the list of device IDs, look for an EID.
  • If you see an EID, your device has eSIM hardware.

Note: Having an EID doesn’t always mean you can use eSIM, as some regions or carriers may block it. Android: EID display
